Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev visited our processing plant “Polar Sea+”

On the 20th of April the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev hold a meeting in Murmansk on development of the fishing industry and visited processing plant “Polar Sea+”.

During the visit to the plant Dmitry Medvedev looked at the entire processing flow of the fishery products under our retail brand Borealis. The head of the Russian Government followed all steps of the production beginning with the loading of fish to the factory, preparation of fish for further processing including supershilling (to +0.9°C), filleting, portioning, packing in Borealis packages for supermarkets in Russia and export.

After the overview of the plant Dmitry Medvedev was presented our wide range of products marketed and sold under Borealis brand.

“It was a surprise for us to see that Dmitry Medvedev had such a strong interest to understand the processing technologies that we use in the plant. It is always positive when a civil servant of such high level shows a true interest to the fish processing industry in Russia”, the CEO of “Polar Sea+” Vladimir Zagorovsky said.

Together with the Russian Prime Minister the plant was also visited by Vice-Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, head of Federal Agency for Fisheries Ilya Shestakov, governor of the Murmansk region Marina Kovtun and other representatives of the region.
